Tom Butler – Designer. An Atlanta native, and 26-year military veteran, he founded Green Feet Games Inc, with one goal:
Make the learning of our history fun and compelling through the best teachers--board games.
The company focuses its game design on inspiring flow among gamers--positive shared group experiences. Tom has studied this psychological phenomenon of “flow” in many arenas most notably, Appalachian Trail Thru-Hikers.
He strongly follows Plato's motto: "You can learn more from a person in one hour of play, than in a lifetime of conversation."
“A designer should focus on creating games that keep a player’s skills fully involved. When the games increasing challenges finally matches the player’s skills, you have flow. When you have flow, they’re enjoying themselves...and best of all, they’ll want to play again & again.”
